Microsoft Merchant Center feed

Plans: Starter ✗ · Growth ✓ · Pro ✓ · Agency ✓

Microsoft Shopping and Copilot's shopping answers read your product feed in Microsoft Merchant Center, the same way Google Shopping reads Google's. Clione does not build a second file for Microsoft: you paste the same supplemental feed URL you use for Google Merchant Center.

What Microsoft gets

The same tab-separated file, joined to the feed you already send to Microsoft on the product id. Every rule from the Google page holds here too: a column Clione cannot fill honestly is left empty, and an empty cell in a supplemental feed means "keep what the primary feed said". Clione never invents a GTIN or a price. Availability is always sent: in_stock when your platform reports no stock data.

The file carries the columns Google defines (title, description, product_highlight, google_product_category, color, custom_label_0…). Microsoft Merchant Center follows the same attribute names for the ones it supports. After the first fetch, check its diagnostics: a column it does not use shows up there, and the report tells you how many items the file updated.

Turning it on

  1. In Clione: Store Settings → Integrations → Google Merchant Center feed → Turn the feed on, and copy the URL. It is the same URL for Google, Microsoft and Meta.
  2. In Microsoft Merchant Center, open your store and add a new feed. Choose a supplemental feed (the exact label can change in Microsoft's interface), and a scheduled download from a URL. Paste the URL. A daily schedule is plenty.
  3. Link it to the primary feed it should update.

If you import your catalogue into Microsoft from Google Merchant Center rather than sending Microsoft a feed of your own, check after the next import whether the supplemental columns came across. If they did not, add the URL as its own supplemental feed as above.

Check the match count

As with Google: if Microsoft reports that the supplemental feed updated 0 items, the ids do not line up. Clione keys the id on your platform product id by default; if your primary feed uses SKUs, add ?idSource=sku to the end of the URL and fetch again.

Products only

Merchant Center describes offers. Categories, collections and content pages have no feed; their enrichment reaches search engines through the storefront signals instead.
