Google Shopping performance
Once your store's Google Merchant Center account is connected, Clione reads how your products perform on Google Shopping and whether Google approved them, and shows it next to your Search Console figures.
Clione only reads. Nothing in this panel sends anything to Merchant Center: it never edits a product, a feed or a setting there.
What you need
- The connection. Settings → Integrations → Google Merchant Center (see Integrations). While Google reviews Clione's access, the connection is open only to the stores taking part in that review; the card says so.
- The "Performance and insights" role. The Google account you connect with needs that role in Merchant Center (Settings → People and access). Without it Google refuses the performance figures, and the card and the panel tell you so.
- A standalone account or a sub-account. Google does not provide these reports for an advanced account (the parent of several sub-accounts). Connect the sub-account that belongs to this store instead.
Where you see it
- SEO Performance → Google Shopping, for the whole store.
- Product detail → Insights → Google Shopping, for one product.
The first read covers the last 90 days and runs as soon as you choose the Merchant Center account; after that Clione reads every night. Google publishes each day about a day late, so yesterday is the newest day shown.
What the panel shows
Organic vs ads. Clicks and impressions are split into organic (free listings) and ads (Shopping ads), with a daily trend for each.
Conversions. Google reports conversions and conversion value for the free listings only, so they are shown for organic traffic and never for ads.
Top products. The products with the most clicks in the period. A product Clione could not match to your catalogue is labelled not matched to a product — usually because your primary feed uses an id Clione does not know (see Merchant Center feed for the id options).
Disapproved products. Every product Google does not show, with the reason Google gives (the issue code and the attribute it concerns). Fix it in your store or your feed; Clione does not change anything in Merchant Center.
Before and after enrichment
For each enriched product, Clione compares its organic clicks and impressions in the 28 days before its enrichment date with the 28 days after. The enrichment day itself counts on neither side.
A product is only compared when both windows were fully read. Otherwise it is not measured — never shown as zero — and the panel says why:
| Reason | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not enriched | The product has no enrichment date yet. |
| Not in Merchant Center | Google has no product matching it. |
| Nothing read yet | Clione has not read any day from Merchant Center. |
| Before not observed / partial | The 28 days before the enrichment are older than the first day Clione read. |
| After not observed / partial | The 28 days after the enrichment have not passed yet. |
The store total adds up only the products that were measured, and says how many of the enriched products that is.
Why a figure says "not measured"
A day Clione never read from Google is not a day with zero clicks. Figures for those days are left out, so a zero in the panel always means Google reported zero.
